Draft for review · Effective date: [[OWNER-CONFIRM: effective date at launch]]
Who we are and acceptance
AI Age Press is an open-access scholarly publishing house. The press is operated by [[OWNER-CONFIRM: registered entity name & type — e.g. proprietorship / LLP / private limited / society / trust]], with its registered office at [[OWNER-CONFIRM: registered address]].
These terms apply across the press network: the apex site aiagepress.com and its subdomains journals.aiagepress.com (peer-reviewed journals) and news.aiagepress.com (news and opportunities). By accessing, browsing, registering with, or submitting to any of these sites, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the sites.
Our services
The press publishes peer-reviewed, open-access journals — JAISI and JLAIS — on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Alongside the journals we run a news and opportunities desk.
As they launch, the press will also offer books and edited volumes, workshops and seminars, conferences, faculty development programs, and certification courses. Services that do not yet exist are described here for completeness; each becomes available only when announced on the relevant page.
Editorial integrity and no pay-to-publish
Editorial decisions are made solely on scholarly merit. They never depend on payment, and paying for any service can never buy acceptance, favourable review, or faster decisions.
Manuscripts undergo double-anonymous (double-blind) peer review. Our editorial and ethics practices are aligned with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidance.
Accounts and author warranties
When you register or submit, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current. You are responsible for activity under your account.
By submitting a manuscript you warrant that:
- the work is original and your own, and you have the right to submit it;
- it is not under consideration elsewhere, and there is no simultaneous submission unless expressly disclosed to the editors;
- any use of generative AI tools is disclosed in line with the relevant journal's policy;
- all listed authors meet authorship criteria and have approved the submission, and no qualifying contributor has been omitted.
Licensing and intellectual property
Articles are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright in their work; readers may share and adapt it with proper attribution.
The AI Age Press name, wordmark, logo, and site design are the property of the press and are reserved; nothing here grants a licence to use them. Where a manuscript includes third-party material (figures, tables, quotations, datasets), securing the necessary permissions and clearances is the author's responsibility.
Fees and payment
For the inaugural journal volume there are no author-side fees — no submission charge, no article processing charge, no hidden costs to publish in JAISI or JLAIS. Any future paid services are listed on our Payments & fees page.
When paid services go live, payments will be processed by Razorpay. Card, bank, and wallet credentials are handled entirely by the payment gateway — the press never sees or stores them.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds for any paid service are governed by our Cancellations & refunds policy. As the inaugural journal volume carries no author-side fees, there is nothing to refund for it.
Service delivery
All of our services are delivered digitally; nothing is physically shipped. What "delivery" means for each service — publication, certificates, course access — is set out in our Service delivery policy.
Acceptable use
When using the sites you agree not to:
- upload or transmit unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful content;
- misuse or attempt to manipulate the peer-review or editorial process;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically download content at scale, or place undue load on the platforms;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent an affiliation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data.
Confidentiality and peer review
Submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential until publication. Editors and reviewers may not disclose or use a manuscript except to carry out review.
Reviewers and editors must not feed manuscripts, in whole or in part, into public or non-confidential AI tools, as doing so would breach author confidentiality.
No guarantee of outcomes
Submitting a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Editorial and review outcomes are at the discretion of the editors. Timelines for indexing, abstracting, or third-party discovery services are outside our control and are not guaranteed.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any service is limited to the fees you actually paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable laws of India.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the press, its editors, reviewers, staff, and partners against claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these terms, your content, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
Third-party services
The press relies on trusted third parties to operate. These currently include, or will include as services launch:
- Hostinger — website and platform hosting;
- Cloudflare — DNS services;
- Google Fonts — web typography;
- GTranslate / Google Translate — the optional on-page translation widget;
- Razorpay — payment processing, once paid services are live;
- PKP / OJS (Open Journal Systems) — the journal publishing platform;
- WordPress — the news and opportunities platform.
Your use of these services may also be subject to their own terms. How they process personal data is described in our Privacy policy.
Governing law, jurisdiction and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. The courts at [[OWNER-CONFIRM: jurisdiction city — ijpress precedent uses Lucknow]] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always the one published here, and material changes take effect from the stated effective date. Questions, notices, and grievances can be raised through our Contact & grievance page.
